MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2023

AN IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE

OF MATTER AND COLOUR

The Art of Tiles is the name chosen for the exhibit featuring the top brand Fioranese at Milano Design Week 2023.
A prestigious flat in the heart of Milan’s Brera district becomes the setting to host a unique story of ceramics made of light, alternating textures and colour, designed by Alesssandro Pasinelli Studio. A tactile and visual itinerary guides us from room to room to discover dreamlike and muffled spaces, filled with soft curtains and fabrics that form a soft ’skin’ around three-dimensional volumes covered with innovative ceramic surfaces, adding more appeal to the space.

On the occasion of Milano Design Week 2023, Fioranese accompanies us on a curious trip through space and time that runs from the rooms of the third-floor apartment in Via Solferino 11, encouraging us to reflect on issues regarding contemporary design and artistic tradition, highlighting the hallmark elements of outstanding ceramics.

A NEW TILE CONCEPT

A journey through the most enchanting landscapes of Italy

The Art of Tiles hosts a preview of Italian Landscape, the first collection developed from the collaboration between Fioranese and the 23Bassi architecture studio. What they share is a love for Italy and its riches, a land that offers fresh inspiration to be viewed from a different angle. Architecture, monuments, landscapes, works of art created by man or nature, when observed carefully, reveal an iconic and replicable visual unity.

Starting with three cities in central Italy, Florence, L’Aquila and Siena, the same number of landscape symbols have been selected to represent the graphic motif to be reproduced on the ceramic surface.

THE NEW FIORANESE COLLECTION

Design, sense of colour, creativity and ceramic innovation

With maximum compositional freedom, obtained by combining in a regular or casual manner the different decors and colours, Italian Landscape fits into any type of environment, bringing emotion, technical quality and visual appeal, to create a structured and tactile décor.

ITALIAN LANDSCAPE INTERIORS

Imagine the walls of your home as vast landscapes with great freedom and imagination

4 decorative subjects and 5 plain-coloured backgrounds with a cement texture, offered in the small 20×20 cm sizes with a matt finish, make up a versatile porcelain stoneware collection with which to create unique wall and floor designs for small and large spaces in residential and commercial buildings.

THE DESIGNERS

23Bassi

23Bassi is an architectural firm, a workshop of ideas, where creativity, design and experimentation come together. Based in Milan, it is the brainchild of Chiara Frigerio and Andrea Roscini. We mainly deal with the design of private buildings, retail spaces, and displays, we love to communicate the value of architecture.

Our Philosophy:
When you design your house, you want it to be beautiful for you and for others to admire. If, on the other hand, you were to design it with the aim of being admired, then the house would live in you: it would condition you and make you feel out of place.

The Method:
As you are going to live in it for a lifetime, it must not only be beautiful but also your kind of beauty: the backdrop for your story. So it will be your nest, but also your temple of modern well-being, to give home to your emotions and those you love.

We look forward to seeing you in Milan where you can touch the collection with your own hands!
