Krug Pizza Bar in Viškovo, Croatia, is renowned for its inviting atmosphere and attractive design. The restaurant has broadened its menu, and has moved to larger, more modern premises.
The interior designer Lara Komadina has sought to create a warm, relaxing ambience, perfect both during the day and for evenings.
In the design of Krug Pizza Bar, the stone effect porcelain stoneware collection I COCCI SICILIANI was chosen to bring a modern, natural touch to the indoor floors throughout the dining area. The RIGGIOLE tiles by Davide Tonelli were used as a decorative element in various areas of the eatery. The designer Lara Komadina incorporated these decorative ceramics into the project to highlight a number of details, such as the entrance (Riggiole Deco_3 in 90×90), the columns in the counter area and a number of walls in the dining area (Riggiole Deco_2 in 90×90, Riggiole Nero_Mix in 30×30), bringing a touch of unique character. The Riggiole tiles were also used in the bathrooms, both for the floor and for the walls behind the sanitary fixtures. All the other walls were tiled with the concrete-effect tiles in the I COCCI collection, in the colour Grafite, ideal for striking an appealing, contemporary contrast with the other materials.
Together with other elements such as the wall decorations and the customised upholstery, the tiles help create a warm, inviting ambience that teams tradition with a modern look.
