“Everything begins with a ceramic surface”, says interior designer Giulia Arlant.
“The porcelain stoneware flooring from the RIGGIOLE collection, DECO_1, 90×90, black and white – graphic, assertive – is the spark of the project: the client chose it instinctively, and from that gesture the entire kitchen took shape”.
Around this design, the space is built through subtraction. A natural, luminous palette acts as a counterpoint to the contrast of the ceramic, which remains the absolute protagonist of the room.
“This is my way of working: letting the material set the tone, and arranging everything else so that it can breathe. Natural oak defines the furnishings”, the designer continues. “The black quartzite worktop picks up the tones of the wall cladding and projects them towards the exposed hood, in a dialogue of surfaces that moves across the room. The result is a warm, tactile kitchen where light does not soften the contrast but enhances it – and where every element ultimately leads back to the ceramic that originated it”.
