Confindustria Ceramica (the Italian Association of Ceramics) and the Italian Trade Commission are proud to announce the 2016 Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition Call for Entries. Now in its 23rd year, annual awards program recognizes the work of top North American architects and designers who create imaginative spaces using Italian ceramic and porcelain tile. From home kitchens to corporate offices to tile-clad facades, Ceramics of Italy is looking for all types and scales of projects featuring Italian tile, completed from January 2011 to January 2016.
The grand prize winner in each category will receive a cash prize of $4,000 plus a trip to Chicago to present the project at Coverings and a VIP CEU-accredited trip to Bologna, Italy to attend Cersaie – the world’s largest exhibition of ceramic tile and bathroom furnishings – with a delegation of top consumer and design journalists. An additional $1,000 will be awarded to the winning contractor/distributor team in each category.
